Inspiration is an important aspect of life, in general, but especially important to those of us in the creativity business.
Uninspiring days and weeks haunt us, but it’s not because there are no stories left to tell or because there are no emotions left to paint. It’s because our sense of inspiration has been misplaced. But it’s easy enough to relocate that inspirational center.
Just look around. You see that lizard climbing up the trellis? What’s he thinking? What about the fly that has landed on the magazine? Is he reading the headline? The vase that sits in the corner, you know, the one your mother bought from the thrift store? What story does it carry?
Inspiration is everywhere. We just have to be willing to see it.
Live. Love. Write.
